요약

알레르기성 비염의 기본적 치료법은 회피요법, 약물요 법 및 면역요법이다. 원인항원을 정확히 동정하고 이에 대한 적절한 회피요법은 환경 개선을 위한 환자 교육과 더불어 가장 근본적인 치료법이다. 지난 10여 년 간, 약 물요법은 2세대 항히스타민제, 국소 스테로이드 및 국소 항히스타민제 등의 개발로 큰 진보를 이루었으며, 이들은 알레르기성 비염 치료에 있어 일차적 선택의 기본 치료 제들로 자리 잡았다. 면역요법은 90여 년 전부터 경험적 으로 임상에 적용된 오랜 역사를 갖고 있으나, 그 동안 진 보된 약물요법에 비하여 치료 성적이 더 뛰어나지 않으 며 전신적 부작용의 위험이 보고되면서 지난 10년간 그 적응이 상대적으로 감소해 왔다.
