ABSTRACT
Primary non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma of the salivary gland is an uncommon tumor that most occurs in the parotid gland. The most common subtype is marginal-zone B-cell lymphoma, extranodal, mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) type. Due to the differences of natural history, prognosis, and therapy between MALT lymphoma and other lymphomas, MALT lymphoma should be diagnosed considering immunohistochemical and molecular biological studies. Therapy depends on the stage of the disease. Usually, a curative operation or a radiotherapy is carried out in stages I and II, and the chemotherapy becomes an indication in stages III and IV. We report a case of MALT lymphoma of the parotid gland, which was diagnosis of a patient who had a chief complaint on one’s gradually growing left infraauricular mass.
