요약

청신경 종양이란 내이도내의 제8 뇌신경의 Schwann초로부터 발생하는 양성종양으로 우 리나라에서는 청신경 종양으로 통칭하고 있으 나, 외국에서는 몇가지 명칭으로 불려지고 있 다. 즉 일반적으로는 Acoustic Neurinoma이나 학자에 따라서는 Acoustic Neuroma라고도 한 다. 본래 청신경 종양은 신경의 Schwann초로 부터 발생하므로 Schwannoma라고 하는 것이 병리학적으로는 보다 정확한 호칭이라 할 수 있다. 또한 소뇌교각부까지 진전된 종양에 대 해서는 소뇌교각부 종양 (Cerebello-pontine Angle Tumor)라 불려진다.
