ABSTRACT
Eagle’s syndrome is a rare disorder. But it may be a cause of cervical and craniofacial pain syndrome. Its symptoms are sensation of raw throat, referred otalgia, painful or difficult swallowing, sensation of foreign body in pharynx such as a fishbone, persistent dull-aching type of sore throat.
Recently, we have experienced a case of this syndrome in a female patient who was successfully treated with surgical shortening of the styloid process transorally.
