요약

MSO(Management Services Organization)란 단어 의 등장은 2006년 재정경제부의‘서비스산업 경쟁력 강화 방안’이라는 보고서에서 처음 언급되기 시작하였 다. 당시 보고서 에는 8가지 서비스 산업의 경쟁력강화 방안이 언급되었는데 그 중 한 가지가 의료서비스산업 이다. 원래 MSO는 미국의 관리의료(managed care)에 서 병의원들의 경영지원을 위해 설립된 회사들이다. 우 리나라에서도 그동안 일부 네트워크 병의원의 경영지원 회사가 비슷한 역할이었고 대형병원의 구매과,원무과 등 의 경영지원부서가 같은 일을 한다 하겠다.
