ABSTRACT
Castleman’s disease is a rare entity which is characterized by its histologic features:hyperplasia of lymph node and capillary proliferation. Two distinct histological patterns has been described hyaline-vascular type and plasma-cell type. The former is more common. It presents as only an asymptomatic mass but the latter shows systemic manifestation especially anemia, fever. We present a case of hyaline-vascular type of Castleman’s disease restricted to the neck, who underwent successful surgical excision. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2000;11:167-170)
